The All India Power Engineers Federation has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for asking the State Governments to clear the power dues.
The outstanding dues on all States are over Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
AIPEF chairman Shailendra Dubey, while welcoming the views expressed by the prime minister, said that it was now clear that the public sector power distribution companies were the victims of the wrong policies of the State Governments.
