After spending three days here and attending all the rituals of the wedding of his son Tej Pratap Yadav, on Monday lalu Prasad went back to Ranchi. He had been granted three days parole of which period expired on Monday. However, during this parole period the RJD chief, convicted in some cases related to fodder scam of 1997, was granted six weeks provisional bail for treatment by the Jharkhand High Court.
He is likely to be released after reporting to the Hotwar jail in Ranchi after fulfilling the bail provisions and expected to return here on Tuesday evening. Family sources said that lalu would be flown to Mumbai for treatment.
During three days lalu had hectic schedule attending the pre and post marriage rituals apart from being present at the mega wedding ceremony which was attended by several thousand visitors and some VVIPs including Bihar Governor Satyapal Malik and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Many VIPs visited his residence before and after the marriage. lalu, a day after wedding, went to his samdhi Chandrika Rai’s residence on Sunday and savoured lunch of fish and rice. For a change lalu broke his resolve not to touch non-vegetarian food and ate fish served by daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.
BJP’s dissident leader and local MP Shatrughan Sinha who could not reach the marriage venue on Saturday evening due to heavy crowd visited him at his residence on Monday and blessed the newly wed couple who merrily had selfies with the actor turned politician. After the visit he tweeted, “Special wedding celebrations, great atmosphere, an evening for special entry of the bride Aishwarya, a close & special family get together for all of us. I whole heartedly congratulate laluji & his entire family on this occasion. What better could Rabriji ask for on Mothers Day.”
In another tweet Shotgun praised lalu’s younger son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav calling him present and future of Bihar. “With lots of love & regards for our friend lalu Yadav, his entire family including the new Beti bahu (Aaishwarya), the beautiful person & desirable groom of the day Tej Pratap & of course the present and future of Biharthe golden boy Tejaswi Yadav & entire family.” He also posted photo with grand children of lalu.
