Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for the warm hospitality shown to him during his visit to India. Abbott told Modi that a warm welcome awaits him when he travels to Australia in November on a bilateral visit after the G-20 Summit.
Modi told Abbott that his visit had resulted in concrete outcomes and new dimensions to the strategic partnership between India and Australia. The two leaders agreed to actively follow up on the decisions reached. Abbott also conveyed sympathy over the floods in Jammu and Kashmir.
