Congress leaders on Thursday continued to take on the BJP and RSS. While party General Secretary Digvijay Singh likened RSS to Ravana against the backdrop of the attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP office) in Ghaziabad, his colleague Shakeel Ahmad stuck to his remarks that the ISI and the BJP rejoice over riots.
Strongly condemning the vandalism in the attack on AAP office in Kaushambi, Digvijay tweeted, “I strongly condemn the attack on AAP office. BJP as usual has dissociated itself from the attack and it was part of their strategy.”
Claiming that over 150 organisations have their roots in the Sangh, Singh said, “If one hand strikes the other applies balm. Doesn’t it remind of the character in The Ramayana who had 10 faces and one bodyIJ” For his part, Ahmad stuck to his guns justifying his controversial comments that whenever there are riots in this country, ISI in Pakistan and BJP rejoice. A day after his remarks evoked an angry reaction from the Opposition party, Ahmad tweeted, “Even after the felicitation of arrested MlAs on (Narendra) Modi’s dais for fanning Muzaffarnagar riots, how can one deny that BJP rejoices on riotsIJ”
