Unidentified miscreants fired shots at the office of Aam Aadmi Party MlA Kailash Gahlot on Dhansa Road in Najafgarh. The Najafgarh legislator was not in the office when the firing took place around midnight on Thursday. Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi directed South West District police to “expeditiously” investigate the matter. An FIR has been lodged against unidentified persons. Security guard of a school, located next to Gahlot’s office, informed the MlA’s aides of the incident which took place around 12.45 am, police said.
later Gahlot came to know about the incident, following which he informed the police. Senior police officers visited the spot in the morning and investigations are on. It may be noted that former MlA from Nazafgarh Bharat Singh was gunned down by gangsters few weeks back following a feud over a piece of land.
