Published on:

He was just a week away from marriage, but his dream came crashing down and he attempted suicide as he ended up in CBI net for procuring doctors’ registration from Medical Council of India (MCI) through allegedly fraudulent means.

This is the story of a ‘doctor’ posted in a Government hospital in Asansol, West Bengal, who was arrested by CBI for procuring registration from MCI through allegedly fraudulent means.

The reason for attempted suicide by the doctor (name withheld) was that he was to tie a nuptial knot next week and instead he landed up in jail. He was one of the doctors arrested for alleged nexus between MCI officials and students pursing medical degrees in countries like Russia and China.
