Believe it or not. Simple looking Sushain Nigam can forsee your future. He had on several occasions prognosticated people of what was to follow but they mocked at him. Of course, only to realise that his prediction was true. Now, he is no more taken with flippancy.

Sushain quoted numerous instances. “I had told sadhu Shobhan Sarkar that he was pursuing a futile exercise of digging in the Unnao fort since there was no gold there. Everyone had challenged me saying that the Archaeological department had found evidence of metal. They all quizzed me. Should we believe you or the Archaelogical departmentIJ” he pointed out. later, Sarkar returned to apologise.

Nigam, a 30 year-old graduate, described his “photographic visions” of people and places as a gift from God. He says: “You may be surprised but I can visualise events. I can even foretell just by looking at someone’s photograph or even by listening to the voice. I would describe my visions as my positive energy”.

He belongs to Kanpur but is presently in lucknow preparing for his Civil Services examination. Talking about himself, he said it was his dream to qualify for the administrative services, “I should clear the exams. Actually, my purpose is to be in a position where I can help people.”

With a gleam in his eye, he explained that he realised about his powers at the age of seven. “You see whenever my younger brother played pranks on me and used to hide my coins, I always used to find it and,  gradually, I found that I had the power to see beyond the present happenings. Similarly, I used to help my father when he faced any trouble,” he averred.

Just imagine when he started working for an insurance company, he could foresee the future of his clients.

Finally, he left the job to pursue his studies for Civil Services.

He even foretold the sudden death of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar but his friends asked him not to publicise the matter as he might get into trouble. later, all were surprised when it turned out to be true.

Coming to the inevitable question of the political scene post-lok Sabha elections, Nigam was very clear about his prediction. “The BJP is all set to assume power at the Centre but you may be surprised at the party’s prime ministerial candidate. When his attention was drawn to the fact that Narendra Modi had already been declared as the party’s candidate, he said just wait and watch. Bollywood stars Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha and Salman Khan would play a key role in bolstering the party’s prospects in the lok Sabha elections. “It goes without saying that bleak days are staring at the Congress, which is bound to be relegated to the background along with Rahul Gandhi. However, Priyanka would be the only person who could revive the lost fortunes of the party,” he maintained.

“The sudden rise of the Aam Aadmi Party may not be able to sustain its position,” Nigam said, adding that the party had already lost its charm and the outfit might see a downslide.

Nigam had a bit of advice for the ruling Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. “The party is going to face testing times, so just keep your fingers crossed,” he stated.

The soothsayer had a good word for the Bahujan Samaj Party and felt that soon the blue brigade would dominate the political scenario. He disclosed: “ If things fall in place, the BSP chief Mayawati could occupy an important position at the Centre in the post-poll scenario. “As far as UP is concerned, the BSP will surely be at the helm of affairs very soon,” he observed. He even expressed his desire to meet Mayawati since he admired her administrative qualities.
