In cases related to post Godhra train carnage riots, a local court in North Gujarat town Thara acquitted as many as 61 accused due to lack of evidences on Monday. Out of these accused three are dead.
In a case pertaining to rioting and arson in the market place of Thara town situated in Banaskantha district, there were 30 accused. In another case in which a mob damaged shops and roadside cabins, there were 31 accused.
Mohammad Khan Makarani and Shamsher Khan Makrani had lodged complaint for these cases.
