The children donning a white loin cloth, head covered in a white wig or cap, sporting a reading glass and carrying a stick in hand gathered to pay their respects to Gandhiji in a novel style. The programme to create the world record was organized by Gandhi Gyan Pratishthan and Global Family organisation. Earlier record was of Bengaluru where 4605 children in “Gandhi style” had gathered there.

Interestingly, the new Guinness record was created in the same Nalgonda district which has a temple dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.
