On the second consecutive day, the Speaker of Gujarat legislative Assembly suspended 55 Opposition Congress MlAs.
The Speaker suspended them on Wednesday for the rest of the Session. Congress MlAs had created pandemonium in support of Patel quota stir in the State and throwing ‘lollipops’ towards Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. Congressmen were suspended for a day on Tuesday for creating ruckus in the House on the issue of corruption in land deal involving business associates of Anar Patel, daughter of the Chief Minister. Congress MlAs had come to the House donning white caps with slogans ‘Jai Sardar, Jai Patidar’ inscribed upon it. These were the caps similar to ones worn by Patel quota stir agitators across the State during their stir since July last year.
