Even as fire fighters were busy dousing the flames in Kashmir’s largest maternity hospital, doctors continued their work and ensured safe delivery of as many as 30 babies on Wednesday.
Minister for Medical Education, Taj Mohiuddin was informed by the officials of lalla Ded Maternity Hospital during his visit to the institute on Wednesday that 30 babies, including 20 through Cesarean-section were delivered, an official spokesperson said. Mohiuddin visited the hospital, where a fire broke out, to take stock of the damage caused by the blaze.
