A day after taking over as the new Chief Secretary of UP, Anup Chandra Pandey ordered the transfer of 25 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers on late Sunday. As per the new orders, Yamuna Expressway Authority chairman and Divisional Commissioner of Meerut Prabhat Kumar is posted as Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) replacing RP Singh who has taken voluntary retirement.
Kumar will also hold the additional charge of Basic Education department. Additional Chief Secretary and Social Welfare Commissioner Chandra Prakash has been posted as chairman of State Vigilance Commission. Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue, Chanchal Kumar Tiwari is posted as Director General of Deen Dayal Upadhaya State Rural Development Institute. Similarly, Additional Chief Secretary, Employment, IT and Electronics, Sanjiv Saran is posted as chairman of UP State Road Transport Corporation.
All three officers are senior to the present Chief Secretary and hence have been posted outside the Secretariat. Additional Chief Secretary, Appointment and Personnel, Deepak Trivedi is shifted to Employment and Programme Implementation department while Additional Chief Secretary, Handloom and Silk, Mukul Singhal has been shifted to the Appointment and Personnel department.
Divisional Commissioner, Moradabad, Rajesh Kumar Singh has been posted as Principal Secretary, Industrial Development, with additional charge of Handloom and Silk and MD of UP State Industrial Development Corporation.
Principal Secretary, Excise, Kalpana Awasthi was given the additional charge of Forest and Environment department. Additional Chief Secretary, Women Welfare, Renuka Kumar is given the additional charge of Revenue department. Additional Chief Secretary, Commercial Taxes, Alok Sinha is given the additional charge of IT and Electronics while Secretary, Child Welfare and Nutrition, Anita C Meshram is made the new Divisional Commissioner of Meerut. Principal Secretary, Minor Irrigation, Minority Welfare department, Monika S Garg is assigned the additional charge of Child Welfare and Nutrition department.
Anil Raj Kumar, waiting for posting, was posted as Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad. Divisional Commissioner of Azamgarh, SVS Ranga Rao was posted as Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare replacing Sharad Kumar Singh, who goes as Commissioner of Chitrakoot division.
Secretary, Culture Affairs, Jagatraj was posted as Commissioner of Azamgarh division while Director, Women Welfare Alka Tandon Bhatnagar was posted as Commissioner of Basti division. Special Secretary and Staff Officer of Chief Secretary, Mohammad Shafakat Kamal was posted as Vice-chairman of Bulandshahr-Khurja Development Authority. Special Secretary, Tourism and MD, UP Tourism Development Corporation, Gaurav Dayal was posted as Staff Officer of Chief Secretary.
Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Manoj Singh was given additional charge of Minority Welfare and Muslim Waqf. Principal Secretary of Tourism, Aradhana Shukla was relieved from the additional charge of Officer on Special Duty, Noida. Principal Secretary, General Administration, Jitendra Kumar is given the additional charge of Cultural Affairs department, while Principal Secretary, National Integration, Anita Singh is shifted to Minor Irrigation department. MD UPSIDC, Kanpur, Ranvir Prasad is posted as Secretary, Urban Development while Special Secretary, Industrial Development and MD of PICUP Pramod Kumar Pandey is made the joint managing director of UPSIDC, Kanpur.
