The victim, police said, was returning home after meeting an acquaintance in GTB Enlcave when she was attacked with acid around 8 pm. The woman is from Nand Nagri and works at a private firm. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and was later discharged after giving medical aid.

In her statement to the police, she mentioned that the rider was wearing a helmet and the pillion rider had covered his face with a handkerchief. “No arrests have been made so far. We are waiting for the girl to provide us with some inputs and are probing the case. Investigations are on,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (N-E district) VV Choudhary.
