New Delhi: A Bill to establish a National Sports University in Manipur to promote sports education was taken up for discussion in the lok Sabha on Wednesday, with the Opposition raising concerns over its autonomy. The Bill seeks to replace the National Sports Univ-ersity Ordinance 2018 promu-lgated by the President on May 31. It seeks to establish the uni-versity at a cost of `524 crore.
modernisation of Rlys: Govt changing norms
New Delhi: The Government is changing the norms for private sector participation in the modernisation of railway stations, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday. These include increasing the lease period and allowing sub-lease facility.
Goyal told the lok Sabha that a proposal would be put before the Union Cabinet in this regard on the revised strategy for the station redevelopment programme.
