Kovind pays tribute on Kargil Diwas
New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday paid tributes to the armed forces on the Kargil Vijay Diwas. In his tweets, the President said, "nation's gratitude to the brave men and women of armed forces who keep our country safe and secure." "Salute the martyrs and their families for their ultimate sacrifice," he said.
Cabinet gives nod for GST implementation in J&K
New Delhi: The Cabinet on Wednesday gave ex-post facto approval for amendment to the Constitution to allow implementation of GST in Jammu and Kashmir. "The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, has given its ex-post facto approval for amendment of the Constitution (Application to J&K) Order, 1954 by way of the Constitution (Application to J&K) Amendment Order, 2017," an official said.
