PM for expediting tasks for tribal welfare
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday pushed for expediting the tasks for welfare of tribals, especially granting them land titles, and underlined the need for speeding up work on infrastructure projects to improve connectivity in the eastern and north-eastern parts. He also asked officials concerned to urgently address grievances of customers of lPG and MTNl phone connections.
Arrest acid attack culprits: States told
New Delhi: The Centre has asked all States to immediately arrest people involved in acid attack cases and take proactive steps to ensure justice as it will act as a deterrent to the culprits and provide solace to the victims.
Centre to remind states about protocol for MPs
New Delhi: Faced with frequent complaints from lawmakers, the Centre will remind the States about the protocol needed to be extended to MPs at official functions. Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said in lok Sabha that Government is undertaking a review of the matter as it has received complaints from some members.
