Govt regularises babu’s 26 extra days

New Delhi: The 26 days, which senior IPS officer K Durga Prasad served as head of elite SPG beyond his tenure of three years before being shunted out unceremoniously, has been “regularised” by the Government after a delay of over a month. This will enable him to take up the new posting as Special Director in any of the paramilitary forces. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday gave a post-facto approval to a proposal for regularisation of the period of stay of Prasad “on deputation in SPG from 02.11.2014 to 28.11.2014,” an official statement said.

Sharad lauds Kejri for ‘bribe’ remarks

New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday got support for his contentious remark, asking voters to vote for AAP after taking ‘bribes’ from BJP and Congress, from an unexpected quarter as JD(U) president Sharad Yadav defended the comment and sought review of EC's notice to him. Yadav sought to “justify” the Kejriwal's comment saying there is nothing wrong in it. “Election Commission had made efforts to prevent money and muscle power in the elections and a person is saying that take money from BJP and Congress but do not sell your auspicious vote.  “So what's wrong with it...It is justified,” he said.
