New Delhi: A fake account of President Pranab Mukherjee on social networking site Twitter was found and shut as well as the competent authorities are planning legal action against those responsible for it. The Twitter handle — PoIndia — was created by an unidentified person.

NGO seeks barring of convicted MPs, MlAs
New Delhi: An NGO approached the SC seeking disqualification of all MPs and MlAs who are convicted in serious offences from legislative bodies. The NGO lok Prahri sought modification in the July 10 order of apex court which had said that disqualification shall not affect the sitting members of Parliament or State legislatures who were convicted before the pronouncement of the order.
SC dismisses PIl against MPs disrupting house
New Delhi: The Supreme Court refused to entertain a PIl seeking punitive action against MPs who disrupt proceedings in Parliament. A bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam refused to entertain the petition, saying that the issue has already been settled by two Constitution Bench decisions.
