Riots Trial against Sajjan to go on: SC
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday made it clear that the trial proceedings against Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and others in the killing of six persons during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots will go on during pendency of their plea before it on quashing of charges against them.
DD official axed for sexual harassment
New Delhi: Public Broadcaster Prasar Bharati has suspended a senior Doordarshan official against whom a sexual harassment complaint had been made by a colleague. Sources told PTI that Prasar Bharati on Thursday released an order suspending the officer and asked a senior lady official, who is higher in rank than the accused official, to conduct further proceedings in the matter.
