NGT slaps `1-cr fine on Jindal SAW ltd
New Delhi: Jindal SAW ltd has been slapped with a fine of Rs 1 crore by the National Green Tribunal for its “reprehensible” conduct of starting construction prior to grant of environmental clearance for expansion of its iron pipe manufacturing unit in Gujarat’s Kutch district.

Navy to increase its aviation fleet
New Delhi: With the Indian Navy all set to increase its aviation fleet from 200 aircraft at present to 500 by 2018, the Government on Friday appointed Rear Admiral Srinivas Kanugo as the first chief of the newly created post of Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air Materiel).
