Five policemen hurt as villagers attack
Mainpuri: Five policemen, including an SHO, were injured when villagers allegedly attacked a law enforcement team in Auchha area, officials said on Sunday. A police team went to the area to maintain law and order after two groups indulged in heated exchanges over a piece of land, they said.

Forestofficial caught taking bribe
Jaipur: A forest official was on Sunday caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan. Manohar Singh, posted as Ranger-I in Chittorgarh, had demanded the bribe from one Devi Singh for clearing his pending bills, the Anti-Corruption Bureau sources said.
Bomb explodes at Manipur hospital
Imphal: A powerful bomb exploded near the main gate of the Regional Institute of Medical Science Hospital in Imphal West district late on Saturday, official sources said. No casualty or damage whatsoever was reported in the blast.
CRPF jawan held for eve-teasing
Kanpur: A CRPF jawan has been arrested for eve-teasing a 20-year-old girl in a three-wheeler in Rawatpur area, police said on Sunday. The accused 24-year-old Jai Singh started staring at the victim and followed her to a railway station where she had gone to purchase tickets, Government Railway Police DSP Surendra Tiwari said.
