Two Special Task Force (STF) personnel, including a platoon commander, were injured in a fierce gunbattle with Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, a police official said on Sunday.
The encounter between the ultras and a joint team of security forces took place last evening at a forest in Kistaram village, Sukma SP Abhishek Meena said. Separate joint quads of the STF and the DRG had on Saturday launched an anti-Maoist operation in the forest areas following a tip-off, he said.
