In a freak mishap, two labourers were killed and two others injured when they fell down accidentally from the 10th floor of an under-construction building at Chembur in north-east Mumbai.
The mishap took place at around 9.30 am at under-construction building being developed by Shabri Enterprises located in the vicinity of the famous of R K Studios at Chembur. The labourers were setting up windows of a tenth floor flat.
The labourers who fell from the tenth floor flat landed on the first floor and they had to be physically lifted and brought down.
Of the four labourers, two succumbed to severe injuries. The police identified two deceased as Ahmed Shahadat Shaikh (32) and Rajendra Bhattilal Kaul (45).
The two other injured persons were rushed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)-run Shatabdi Hospital.
