Lambasting the Arvind Kejriwal Government, Delhi BJP on Saturday claimed that 162 homeless people died of cold in the last 30 days of December this year in the national Capital.
Citing Delhi Police and the statistics of NGOs working for the homeless, Delhi BJP said that 545 homeless people died in 2021-22;436 in 2020-21; 749 in 2019-20 and 779 in 2018-19 in the national capital during December and January.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi BJP General Secretary Harsh Malhotra said that this is a matter of regret that despite the tall claims of the Kejriwal government in the country's capital, it is clear from the data available on the website of Delhi Police and a leading NGO working for the state homeless that in the last 30 days 162 homeless died of cold or hunger reasons on the streets of the city.
