The Regional Meteorological Observatory  of IMD-Mumbai forecast  has forecast  "rains or thundershowers at isolated places in south Madhya Maharashtra and Marthwada".

According to Skymet Weather, Vidarbha is likely to witness be a drop in temperature giving respite to people. This drop in the temperature profile is being attributed to a trough which is extending from Madhya Pradesh to interior Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha and South Madhya Maharashtra.

On account of the prevailing weather conditions, Maharashtra expect rains to continue at a few parts of Vidarbha over the districts like Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Chandrapur, Buldhana, and Gondia for the next 24 hours. This would further result in a drop in the temperatures.

"However, the coastal Konkan region will remain dry while, isolated parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may witness some isolated showers," the Skymet weather report said.
