Welcome New Pakistan slogans surfaced on the walls of bus terminus in the Kathua district of Jammu late Saturday evening forcing the local authorities to whitewash the same while launching a massive crackdown to identify the 'suspected' individuals behind the nefarious game plan.
A large number of local residents assembled at the bus terminus while the local policemen were seen cleaning the walls dotted with 'contentious' slogan. The residents also questioned approach of local police authorities as they could not prevent entry of miscreants into busy area where slogans were painted without facing any resistance. A large number of vehicles remain parked in the area yet no one was caught red-handed while painting these slogans on the wall.
Raising security concerns over the matter the local residents appealed to police authorities to immediately identify miscreants and check mushrooming of overground workers indulging in such nefarious designs.
Local residents claimed, “A deliberate attempt is being made to disturb the peace in border district. The menace of drug trafficking is already creating havoc in region and now an attempt is being made to create disharmony”. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and launched investigations into case.
