‘Guv’s speeches violate Constitutional propriety’

Published on:

The CPI(M) late Monday evening retorted to the charges made by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the harshest of language. “The Governor speaks like a Fascist. He is a Fascist,” thundered M V Govindan, the party’s Kerala Secretary and the polit bureau member.

Speaking to mediapersons, Govindan said the Governor’s words violate Constitutional propriety and limits of all public decency. “His language does not augur well for the position he occupies. Who is he to ask certain media houses to get out of the media meet?”, asked Govindan.

The Governor while speaking to media persons at Ernakulam Guest House had asked the official mouthpieces of the CPI(M) and Jama-at-Islam to get out as he “was not interested in speaking to party cadres masquerading as journalists”.
