The Divisional Commissioner (DC) Kaushal Raj Sharma has directed the social welfare officer to evacuate the land of the Social Welfare department near Government Children’s Home (Juvenile) in Ramnagar from the possession of land grabbers and also lodge an FIR against them.
The DC conducted a physical verification of various projects on Tuesday which are being carried out in Ramnagar. During the physical verification of Government Children’s Home (Juvenile), the DC inspected the newly constructed children’s home (girls) in the premises of Government Children’s Home (Juvenile) and took stock of the facilities available here.
There is a proposal to establish old aged home and composite regional centre for the skill development, rehabilitation and empowerment of divyangjan on the land of the Social Welfare department near Government Children’s Home (Juvenile) besides the construction of a hostel for working women.
This integrated complex proposed by the department of divyangjan, social welfare and probation which will be only in the country in its nature, the DC said and directed the social welfare officer to evacuate the land from land grabbers showing strictness and also lodge an FIR against them.
The DC took the detailed information about Shastri Ghat in Ramnagar and the proposal of Samne Ghat and issued proper directives in this direction. He suggested planting shady trees at the proposed Ghat for the greenery. He also inspected the port and took stock of knowledge about the proposed model, roads, water taxi, etc.
