If leaders of the grand alliance are to be believed, it is indeed the BJP that is causing all the trouble to ensure division of votes. Is the BJP behind all that is going wrong with the grand alliance in BiharIJ If leaders of the grand alliance are to be believed, it is indeed the BJP that is causing all the trouble to ensure division of votes. This also shows that the BJP is taking no risk for the Bihar elections.

Senior leader of JDU and Minister in Nitish Kumar Cabinet, Vijay Chaudhary, has said that the BJP is involved in the fiasco of the Samajwadi Party. Before this, lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi had publicly said that the BJP has given strength to Pappu Yadav, and with his help the party is trying to divide the Yadav votes. leaders of both parties are making allegations against the BJP for NCP also.

Responding to these allegations, a BJP leader said it is good that leaders of the grand alliance are not holding the party responsible for the decision of the left to fight on all seats!

The Samajwadi Party has broken away from the grand alliance and has decided to fight on all seats. On the other hand, all six left parties have also decided to fight on all seats. Tariq Anwar and Pappu Yadav are also putting all their efforts to damage the grand alliance in the Seemanchal region. Whatever be the reason, the NDA will definitely reap the benefit.

FAIlURE TO FORM FRONT

Attempts to form a front against either the BJP or Congress have again gone in vain. Once again the plan to form the Janata Parivar and Federal Front have not borne fruit. People are saying that now the parties that were trying to form fronts against the BJP and Congress will wait till the Bihar elections.

Sources say that even Arvind Kejriwal has decided to wait and will not go for campaigning in Bihar. Earlier he was supposed to address rallies along with Nitish Kumar, but now his party leaders are saying that he will not campaign.

Mamata Banerjee will possible go to Bihar for campaigning, but will not take an initiative for a Federal Front. In fact, all parties that were supposed to go with her have either become neutral or have refused to go against the BJP. The Samajwadi Party and NCP are fighting separately in Bihar, and leaders of both parties are sympathetic towards the BJP.

Even Jayalalithaa is soft towards the BJP, and Naveen Patnaik has become neutral. The Janata Parivar has already been dismantled; SP, JDS and INlD have separated. Of course, RJD and JDU are together but nobody knows what will happen after the elections. That is why everybody is waiting for the results of Bihar elections.

CONFUSION REIGNS IN CONG

These days there is immense confusion in the Congress. The leaders are not able to understand what to oppose and what issues to take credit for. First, Congress leaders start opposing some or the other policies of the Central Government, but soon started taking credit for the same.

It is easy to understand when the Congress takes credit for the land Bill because it is only under the party’s pressure that the Government didn’t move forward to amend the Bill.

The Centre has agreed with the 2013 Act, but at the same time it has issued notifications on 13 Acts on which the Congress has taken an opposing stand. Despite that the Congress will hold a rally to take credit for the land Bill.

Not only this, Congress leaders are opposing the provisions of OROP and at the same time they are taking credit for it. The party has roped in senior leader AK Antony to oppose the decision taken by the Government on OROP. He alleged that the Modi Government has weakened the provisions of OROP and cheated retired soldiers. But at the same time, leaders of the party are taking credit for it in debates on TV channels.

There is also confusion in the Congress over the GST Bill. The Government is not able to get it passed due to the opposition of the Congress. The Government is also not able to take any decision to call a special session of Parliament. But at the same time, leaders of the Congress are claiming the Bill is their brainchild.

NO FAITH ON MUlAYAM

leader of Samajwadi Party, Mulayam Singh Yadav, is losing trust among his old and new friends. Earlier he was considered very close to left parties. In 1997, Harkishan Singh Surjeet had proposed his name for PM, in which lalu had put hurdles. But at the time of the nuke deal, Mulayam ditched the left and shook hands with the Congress. Afterwards, he went to Mamata’s Federal Front, and then shifted towards the Congress.

later, he became chief of a conglomeration of six parties of Janata Parivar and in no time left that too. He has not only left the grand alliance but is also pointing his guns towards all its constituent parties. For the Congress, he has said that it has become extinct. People are saying that Mulayam is miffed with the Congress as he thinks he has not got anything in lieu of his direct or indirect help to UPA 1 and 2 Governments. Now Mulayam has pinned all his hopes on the NDA Government.

At the same time, Mulayam has also indirectly attacked Nitish. He has said that the parties that are fighting against the BJP were working with it at some point of time. He didn’t spare even his relative lalu.

WHY IS RAHUl IN a HURRYIJ

Many leaders of the Congress are said to have told the party high command that Rahul Gandhi should not be in hurry to attack the Modi Government. The leaders are of the view that Modi Government must be given some time to work and only then some mistakes can be pointed out. leaders of this group are giving the example of the land Bill. They are saying that when the Government committed a mistake, only then the Congress got a good opportunity to put pressure on it.

Sources in the Congress say Rahul wants to prepare a ‘chargesheet’ against the Modi Government. A team of youth leaders, including Ajay Maken and Randeep Surjewala, is doing this work. Earlier, the Congress had published a booklet on the U-turns of the Government, and now it has published a booklet on its failures.

Now it is being said that Rahul is preparing a ‘chargesheet’ after taking feedback from leaders of many States. lalit Modi and Vyapam issues will also be included in it. Along with the Modi Government, BJP-ruled States will also be part of Rahul’s ‘chargesheet’.

GOGOI GOVT IN CRISIS

The tenure of the Assam Government will come to an end in April 2016, and then Assembly Elections will be held. It means elections are due after six or seven months. But before that the Tarun Gogoi Government is facing crisis. In the Assembly of 126 members, the Congress has 75 members. After 2011 elections, 11 MlAs of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) had given support to the Congress. But now they have parted ways. Now, MlAs of the Congress are leaving the party one by one. Himanta Biswa Sarma has left the party and nine MlAs will leave soon, and after that 10 MlAs are in the queue.

This means a total of 20 MlAs are leaving the Congress. After that the Congress strength will shrink to 55, which is nine short of majority. That is the reason why there is dilemma in the Congress to declare them ineligible. The party has already declared four MlAs ineligible. With this step the strength of the Assembly will go down and eventually the number for majority will also come down.

But there is another thought in the Congress that the BJP will not try to topple the Government. Many leaders think that if the BJP tries to destabilise the Government, then Badruddin Ajmal can help, so there is no need to be apprehensive.
