Hyderabad: Actor Prabhas has unveiled the latest teaser of his upcoming period action drama Fauzi, offering a glimpse of its wartime setting and confirming a theatrical release date of March 19, 2027. The promotional video was released on Friday, October 23, coinciding with the actor’s birthday.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film appears to centre on a rebel soldier fighting against British rule in pre-Independence India. The teaser introduces Prabhas in a military uniform and portrays his character as a wanted figure who has become a challenge for the British establishment.
One of the most striking sequences establishes the setting as Berlin on May 29, 1942, and references the historic meeting between Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Adolf Hitler during the Second World War. Bose had travelled to Germany as part of his efforts to secure international support for India’s independence movement.
The teaser does not fully explain how the historical encounter connects to Prabhas’s character or the film’s central narrative. The makers have presented the video as a glimpse into a previously undisclosed chapter, leaving further details about the storyline under wraps.
The film also stars Imanvi, alongside veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Anupam Kher. It is backed by Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series Films presenting the project. The multilingual release is planned across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
The announcement follows an earlier postponement from the film’s planned December 2026 release. The newly announced March date gives audiences a clearer timeline for the project’s theatrical arrival.
