The Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC), Northern Railway, member Abhimanyu Kumar has appreciated the Uttarakhand Governor for the focus he is laying on timely execution of work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line project.
In a statement released here on Thursday, Kumar states to the governor, “Yesterday, the way you reviewed the status of this project with officials of the Rail Vikas Nigam limited (RVNl) and State officials concerned directing thatexecution of the projectbe undertaken without delay, exhibits your broad outlook towards developmental issues and facilitation of development in Uttarakhand.”
He further opined that the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line project will not only optimise income generation from tourism and pilgrimage in Uttarakhand but will also prove to be of much strategic importance.
