To motivate the youth to exercise their voting franchise in the Vidhan Sabha election 2017, a Yuva Matdata Mahotsav will be organised at the Handloom Expo venue on the Parade Ground at 2 pm on Thursday. The nodal officer of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), Shikhar Saxena said that this programme is organised to mark the National Yuva Diwas. Activities, including street plays, debate, quiz competitions and folk dances among others will be held. Voter Help Desk will be set up there to facilitate the voters. It should be mentioned here that the State Election Commission adopted a number of strategies, approaches and activities to maximise the participation of voters through consistent awareness interventions in view of the Vidhan Sabha election 2017.
