Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has categorically said that these days women are visible in large number and it shows that people are ready for change. As entire country is witnessing changes now because India is striving hard to build its own separate identity in world arena. "Youth, who believe and live in the digital era, believe that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would shape their future for the better. It is crystal clear that wherever youth goes, the nation follows," said Rawat. He expressed these views while addressing people at a Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas programme, which is being organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party to present a report card on the performane of the NDA Government under PM Narendra Modi during its three years in office so far, here at Haripurdhar, Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. It should be mentioned here that the party has scheduled visits of several senior leaders in Himachal Pradesh which is going to assembly election by the end of this year.
CM Rawat said that due to double engine Government the development rate of Uttarakhand has doubled. To give a fillip to the development Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line, Char Dham project and all weather road have been allotted to the State. The people in villages of Uttarakhand have been accessing the benefit of the Pradhan Mandtri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Even the State Government has fixed its target to connect all the villages with road and illuminate all the village with electricity by 2019.
He reiterated that through demonetisation union government has managed to curb corruption and its benefit will reach to the people of the country. The benefits of various governmental schemes including Atal Yojana, gas subsidy scheme, Jandhan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana are reaching the people especially women of the country. It has become possible because PM Modi had appealed to the people that if they can afford non subsidised cylinder then they should give up subsidy. Earlier government was concentrating on how to mint money but now government is thinking on how to lessen the burden of poor people. Prime Minister Skill development scheme is for the betterment of educated unemployed," said the Uttarakhand CM.
