Youth Congress activists' fireworks force Upadhyay to stop address

Published on:

While PCC chief Kishore Upadhyay was addressing a Press conference, Youth Congress members sparked off a string of noisy crackers in the Congress Bhawan compound. The deafening noise from the crackers forced the PCC chief to halt his address to the media and remain silent till the fireworks were finished. Apparently displeased with the bursting of crackers, Upadhyay said, “I have always believed in celebrating in a manner that does not harm the environment or spread pollution. I am not in favour of such noisy celebration and will convey my opinion so that such din is not made in the name of celebration,” he said.
