Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pauri, has organised a youth awareness rally to disseminate information about the national youth policy at district headquarter Pauri on Friday. NYK and NSS volunteers along with NCC cadets were flagged off on the rally by district magistrate Chandresh Kumar.
Addressing the youths on the occasion, the Pauri DM stressed that the youths were the backbone and future of the nation. The Union Government has launched the national youth policy to enable India’s youth to realise their dream. The youth should develop their skills and come forward to contribute in the development of the nation and state, he said.
NYK district coordinator Mukesh Dimri said that NYP 2014 is a comprehensive policy. He spoke about the vision of this policy and its five key objectives. A productive workforce through education, skill development for better employability and entrepreneurship training, sense of community service, a healthy generation with sports as way of life and other aims of the NYP can benefit the youngsters considerably.
