The State is enthusiastic about thousands of bookings being made in advance for Kedarnath. Tourism Secretary Umakant Panwar said that 12,000 bookings have been made for Kedarnath.
Recently, 12 tour operators from various States had visited Uttarakhand and were satisfied with the arrangements made by the State in Kedarnath and other places.
The State Government has made arrangements for facilitating the pilgrimage of more than 3,000 people per day during Kedarnath yatra. Apart from provision of camping sites to tour operators, arrangements have also been made for sheltering pilgrims if needed at the seven major halts on the Kedarnath pilgrimage.
