On returning from Delhi, the worried youths had frequented police station of Vasant Vihar regarding the matter, but to no avail. In a fit of desperation, they approached Dehradun SSP Pushpak Jyoti at office after SSP had completed a press conference.
listening to their woes, SSP had advised them to lodge FIR in the Vasant Vihar police station immediately. However, the victims had looked hesitant as the fear of losing the money kept haunting them. They had decided not to lodge the FIR.
Ten days having passed, as they could not have traced the fraudsters they had approached the police station concerned, but their complaint had not been registered. These youths had met this correspondent at SSP office and told him their plight. This correspondent had advised them to approach SSP and Patelnagar circle officer again. In the evening, they had met CO and he had sent them to the police station. However, the police station officer was not there. It was reported that FIR was lodged late evening in the police station.
