The importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patents, copyrights, trademarks and design registration for the researchers and innovators would be explained at a workshop titled “Harnessing Intellectual Property and its management for growth and prosperity” at Graphic Era University here on the occasion of World IPR day on Saturday. The workshop would be organised by the Patent Information Center, Uttarakhand state Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) in collaboration with National Research Development Council (NRDC) New Delhi.
The Additional secretary Science and Technology and Director General UCOST. VK Dhaundiyal said that that the innovations arising from the state need to be guarded and the workshop would be of great help for the innovators of the State. One of the members of the organising committee Dr. Kirti Joshi said that the participation from higher education and industry sector is expected in the workshop.
