The Central Academy for State Forest Service (CASFoS) principal N Sonzalian inaugurated a three-day training workshop for ‘other stakeholders’ on nurturing bird watching for conservation in the Forest Research Institute campus here on Wednesday. The course is aimed at nurturing budding birdwatchers among common people in order to foster the values of conservation in the common public. A total of 19 participants including those from SPIC MACAY, Art of living, FRI ladies Club and Rotary Club, Dehradun are participating in this course. This three-day programme will focus on various aspects of bird watching and bird conservation issues through a mix of classroom sessions and field trips. The course director Dr Surabhi Rai, faculty members Meera Iyer, Guru Prasad Joshi and Hemant Kapil were also among those present on the occasion.
