Infuriated by abrupt termination of job of one of their colleagues, the contractual workers of the National Health Mission (NHM) deployed in health directorate here have threatened mass resignation.
Recently, one of a NHM worker, Satya Prakash who was working as an accountant in the directorate was sacked by the mission director. On Monday, a delegation of agitated NHM workers met the director NHM and expressed strong protest over the expulsion.
They also set up a deadline of April 12 for reinstating the service of Satya Prakash.
The NHM workers threatened mass resignation if the sacked worker is not reinstated. The NHM director Dr RS Aswal accepted that the NHM workers have submitted a letter threatening mass resignation. He however claimed that the matter would be sorted out.
