After the most heinous Nirbhaya rape incident of New-Delhi, Government still seems to be in its lethargic attitude over such crimes.
No serious measure has been adopted to provide foolproof security to the women of all age group. Women are still unsafe and don’t feel free to walk alone during night in the city, said General (Retd) HB Kala while interacting with media person at Ex-Servicemen league Office, Dehradun on Saturday.
During a Press conference, Brig SD Dangwal, shared an unfortunate incident, which took place with his wife Neelam Dangwal recently.
He said that he along with his wife Neelam Dangwal reside in Arborea luxury Homes, a housing complex, constructed by the Conscient Infrastructure, located at Sahastradhara-Mussoorie by-pass road. A gym attendant in the same housing society had allegedly misbehaved with his wife and when he opposed the attendant thrashed him as well.
The attendant used abusive language with his wife and deliberately provoked her by being ceaselessly impertinent with her and by using abusive language. In this regard they lodged a complaint with the Rajpur police station on October 17 but no action taken so far. During The Pioneer’s investigation, Rajpur Police state investigation officer said that they have arrested the attended under Section 151 of the IPC on October 25.
Criticising the recent mishap which took place with his wife, Neelam Dangwal, he said that this is a shameful incident. How can an attendant of just 25-27-year-old dare to raise hand on a 57-year-old woman and grandmother of a nine-year-oldIJ
He further said that “We have spent all our lives serving the nation so we can’t sit mum over such dastardly incident against the and now when somebody has dared to misbehave with the officer wife, we are not going to keep silence.” He asked the ex-servicemen to take a pledge and fight against such people.
Condemning the incident, ex-IPS officer SS Kothiyal appealed to all the ex-servicemen should come together to spread awareness regarding ‘women’s safety in our society’.

Dehradun: This incident has shaken the confidence of prospective buyers of flats in the housing society. Beware if you are purchasing a flat in a housing society because if you dare to lodge a complain about the shortcomings of the society, you may face some life threat or would be misbehaved, by the company owner or his henchmen. For instance, Brig SD Dangwal, who along with his wife Neelam Dangwal got a verbal threat by Rajesh Negi, one of the self-proclaimed representative of the company and later was misbehaved by an attendant, when they complaint against the false promises made by the Conscient Infrastructure Private limited.
