Bodies of two unidentified females were discovered in the jungle about three kilometres from Devnagar Palda area here on Monday. The bodies were spotted by women who had gone to collect fodder in the woods.
They informed the villagers who in turn informed the Pradhan Sanjay Pandey. On being informed by the Pradhan, the Patwari Hem Chandra Paladiya reached the site. He informed that the two bodies were that of one woman estimated to be aged about 35 years while the other body is that of a girl estimated to be about 15 years old. He further informed that there were injury marks on the body but the identities could not be ascertained till the time of this report being filed.
It is being said that the bodies are about two days old. The Patwari informed that the bodies were found in a ravine about 500 metres deep. While the woman was dressed in a sari, the girl was dressed in a salwar-kameez.
After receiving information about the discovery of the bodies, revenue sub inspector Ravi Pandey and other officials also reached the site after which the bodies were extricated with the help of villagers. Officials further informed that both the bodies would be sent for post mortem examination after which the investigation would be started.
Though the locals are guessing that the women died accidentally when they had gone to collect fodder in the woods, the exact cause of their deaths would be known later. Attempts were also being made to identify the two bodies though so far no success had been met.
