The Government schools of the State would get 2,780 lecturer Teachers (lT) as the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER) has decided to hold the long awaited process of counseling of selected candidates from April 22.
The wait for the job aspirants appeared endless as slothful UBTER went very slow on the process. However, on the reprimand of State High Court and Governor it has now decided to start the process of counseling. The secretary of UBTER, Hari Singh said that the counseling of selected candidates would take place from April 22 to April 25.
The delay in the entire process can be understood from the fact that the UBTER released recruitment advertisement for 3089 posts on February 24, 2014 and after a long delay the examination was conducted on March 29 last year.
The board sat over the result of the examination due to which some aspirants knocked the door of Uttarakhand HC which asked the government to release 90 percent of the result on November 16, 2015.
However after a second reprimand by the court the board declared the result in month of March this year. Expressing happiness at the new turn of things, the President of lT result Sangharsh Samiti, Devendra Bisht said that long wait of the selected candidates is finally over. He said that the members of the Sangharsh Samiti would stay indebted to the Governor and the education secretary for taking up cudgels on their behalf.
