Will AAP's Anoop Nautiyal play spoilsport for Cong, BJP?

With the poll campaign coming to end, the key to victory for the lok Sabha candidates from Tehri parliamentary constituency now rests in the hands of around 13,52,537 in the segment. The main contest in Tehri parliamentary constituency is seen to be between Congress candidate Saket Bahuguna and BJP candidate and sitting MP Mala Rajya laxmi Shah though Aam Aadmi Party candidate Anoop Nautiyal cannot be ignored.

While Shah is pinning her hopes on the wave in favour of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Congress candidate is relying on the work done by his father, former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna in the constituency. AAP candidate Anoop Nautiyal who could play spoilsport for any of these two candidates, could receive more support from urban voters compared to rural voters. Both the Congress and BJP undertook door to door campaigning on the eve of polling to be held on Wednesday. A total of 16 candidates are contesting from this lok Sabha constituency out of which 15 are male and one is female. The key election issues were somewhat overshadowed by the charisma of individual politicians like CM Harish Rawat from Congress and Narendra Modi from BJP. While Shah accused the Congress led state government of not facilitating desired level of development in the constituency, Bahuguna accused her of being inactive in the constituency while eliciting votes on the basis of work done by the Congress-led State Government.
