Eminent defence experts would participate in national level Military history seminar at Welhams Boys School on October 6 and 7. The experts would hold deliberation on various aspects of military and strategic issues.
The Principal of the school Gunmeet Bindra said, “perhaps today, people between the age of 10 and 50, know almost nothing of the action in Kashmir in 1947-48 or the wars in 1962, 1965, 1971 and Kargil war of 1999. This is apart from tensions that continue all the time on our borders. In all countries of the World such ignorance is avoided and our children should also be taught their own Military History.
We need to bridge this gap and this seminar is a modest effort in this direction.’’
