As the monsoon would remain subdued in the next one week weather conditions are favourable for pilgrimage/visitors for Uttarakhand, say the weathermen.
Dehradun saw sunshine after a few wet days on Tuesday. The maximum temperature was 31.9 degree Celsius- two notches above the normal- while the minimum was 21.4 degree Celsius- two notches above the normal- in the city. Humidity was, however, high, settling at 97 per cent while it was 87 per cent in New Tehri, 67 per cent in Mukteshwar and 97 percent in Pantnagar on Tuesday, said Uttarakhand Meteorological centre director Bikram Singh. He further said that the monsoon was sluggish during the past 24 hours and the same trend would continue for a week.
The weather forecast for Uttarakhand on Wednesday is partly to generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/thunderstorm at isolated places, especially in Kumaon region. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Wednesday is mainly clear to partly cloudy sky.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32 degree Celsius and 21 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday, he added.
