Uttarakhand Disaster Minister and State PCC President Yashpal Arya has categorically said that both State and party workers are working together to assist the people in this hour.
“We managed to evacuate more than one lakh stranded people. Now we are putting all effort to rehabilitate the people, who house or villages washed away due to cloudburst on June 16-17.” He also made it clear that “no one can imagine how much loss we received with this calamity. Now we are in process to compile the loss. Once we compiled then we would be able to tell you exact figure of human loss and infrastructure loss.”
Although he refused to answer media query by saying that he is going to have meeting with district in-charge to assess the damage shortly after the press conference. Now question is being raised that if he was not sure about the damage then what was the need to have press conference at Congress Bhawan with advance notice.
