In order to provide financial assistance for civil works of dam and barrage of UJVNl, World Bank Senior Water Resources Management Specialist Jun Matsumoto presided over a meeting with UJVNl officers in Dehradun on Tuesday.
Matsumoto assured the officers of providing financial assistance for various projects under dam reconstruction and improvement projects of the World Bank.
On the occasion, Matsumoto was informed about the availability of unused funds on dam rehabilitation and improvement project.
UJVNl managing director JP Patel informed the members about the work plan for utilisation of such funds on several projects. Other present on the occasion were UJVNl director (project) Sandeep Singhal, director (operation) Purushottam Singh, director (finance) CP Madan, General Manager Arvind Kumar, General Manager (planning) Sanjay Mittal and other officers. The next such meeting is proposed on December 1 in New Delhi, it is learnt.
