Waterman of India bats for the crusader for Ganga

While the fast of Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanand demanding unimpeded flow of  Ganga has entered its 14th day with the crusader reiterating his pledge to sacrifice his life for the cause of the holy river, Rajendra Singh, the waterman of India, has urged all the Ganga lovers to whole-heartedly support the crusader and the cause he is espousing in Haridwar on Thursday. Meanwhile, the health of Swami Sanand has been worsening, say those in Matri Sadan where the fast has been going on.

While heaping praise on the crusade being launched by Matri Sadan for the cause of the sacred river for the past 20 years and more, Rajendra Singh remembered the sacrifice of     Swami Nigamanand for the cause. “Swami Sanand is now on fast-unto-death for the same cause,” he said.

In a written statement, Swami Sanand said that till the Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepts that fraud has been committed in the name of treating Ganga and enacts a law to ensure a clean and ‘Aviral’ flow of Ganga, he would not relent and would sacrifice his life. It would help him attain salvation, he said.

Speaking to The Pioneer, Rajendra Singh said, “Swami Sanand is the only saint in India who is also a scientist. He has dedicated everything he has to save Ganga. Now, he is ready to give away his life too.”

He urged the people of thecountry to gather in this holy land and lend support to the crusader for Ganga. “The mission he is fighting for should not go in vain,” he said. He, further, asked the PM to beg forgiveness and take the pledge again taken around four and a half years ago. “The nation expects him to build a legal framework for making Ganga Nirmal and Aviral (clean and unbridled),” the water man of India added.
