State BJP is all set to accord a warm felicitation to the newly appointed Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at the party headquarters on Saturday.
It was decided during a meeting convened on Tuesday to decide the contours of the felicitation function the State leaders had in mind for the new CM. Among the important leaders who attended the meeting were the state BJP president Ajay Bhatt and organising secretary Sanjay Kumar.
Bhatt said the newly formed Trivendra Singh Rawat government taking several initiatives for the interest of the people, the party would take it on itself to take the initiatives to the people at large. "The responsibility of the party has doubled following the formation of the party-led Government in the State," he said, adding that their next target is the local body election and the lok Sabha election slated in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Bhatt further said his party must be on the alert to foil false propaganda that the Congress is likely to launch in the coming days against the BJP-helmed Government.
